Porro and Reverse Porro Binoculars

Porro and reverse porro binoculars have prisms that face different directions. Porro binoculars face forward and reverse porro face backward. Reverse porro binoculars are typically more compact and lighter and they can have a more flattened field effect. The design of the binoculars is also different, which you can see in the image below.
