General Maintenance

BEFORE YOU BEGIN: Please DO NOT disassemble any Carson product in order to repair it. If you disassemble your product, the warranty will be voided and Carson will be unable to repair or replace it for you.

Cleaning Lenses:

Please clean microscope, magnifier, binocular, and telescope lenses with a soft, microfiber cloth. Gently rub the cloth in a circular motion to remove dust and debris. You can also use one of our many lens cleaning products to maintain the optical quality of your lenses.

For Microscopes:

Use a slightly damp microfiber cloth to gently wipe off all external surfaces, the eyepiece lens, the objective lens, and both sides of any prepared (sealed) slide you are using. Please note, make sure both sides of the slide are clean before preparing a wet mount slide. Never use abrasives, chemical cleaners, or solvents.

Cleaning Grease:

If your Carson product is leaking any grease and/or any gaskets feel loose, this should not negatively affect the product's performance. Simply clean the product periodically with a baby wipe to remove the grease.

Warranty:

If you would like Carson to repair your product or replace any missing parts, please fill out the warranty form. To qualify for the warranty, your product should match the guidelines outlined here. You do NOT need to register the product in advance in order to qualify for the warranty.

International customers can request warranty-related repairs by contacting info@carson.com.

Please note: Carson does not sell replacement parts at this time. If you would like to replace a broken or missing part, please fill out the warranty form above.
