Connecting Your USB Microscope to Software
If you are looking to download our software / driver, which is our digital microscope software for any of our Zorb, eFlex or ZPix models. Please follow this article.
Download & Install
Make sure if you haven't already you download the software for your microscope at https://carson.com/customers/software/ page.
If you have previous Carson microscope software or any version of xploview installed, please uninstall first, then reboot, then install the latest software.
Choose the appropriate download for your operating system. Our USB microscopes are compatible with Windows and MAC computer with USB ports.
Troubleshooting:
If your laptop has a built-in webcam, the software may default to the webcam upon install. Just go to the gear symbol for settings and switch to "USB Microscope" device.
If the microscope is still not showing, it may be a USB Camera lock out issue (due to Windows privacy), follow this article
We do not support connection to phones or iPads or Chromebooks. If you wish to find a USB to device connector and use third party software, it is possible but we don't directly support this usage.
